One thought on “Fly Fishing ~ Winslow Homer

  1. Winslow Homer got his start as an illustrator in the Civil War for Harper’s weekly. He had the very famous “Adirondack Period”. During his years in the Adirondacks he painted the “Blue Boat” that many are familiar with. This canoe (Adirondack Guide Boat) still exists. It is at the Adirondack League Club in a barn but in good shape. It has been recently painted by Mike Ringer, a north country artist with a gallery on the St. Lawrence River. Check his work out at “Michael Ringer Galleries”. If you fish and or hunt you will not be disappointed!! I have guided Mike over the years and value his frienship. A trip to his gallery is an extraordinary adventure for an outdoorman!.
