hi folks ! I’m somewhere here on this map enjoying a spicy breakfast, listening to fancy birds and happy to have caught my first ever Pacu last night. otherwise known as the ‘ball eater’ fish, I fished from the bank!
i had planned to post a slew of things for you to read and even a new giveaway contest to keep you busy while I’m trying to not get get my balls eaten…. but, contrary to what the travel brochure said, I wasn’t able to connect once to wifi throughout the 25 hour trip. hopefully this won’t be the same on the way back. anyhow, hugs to all and see ya soon !
it’s been t-shirt, bees and bats coming out and miniskirt blossoming spring days lately here in the sunny south but the road north seems to be all white…
anyway, the van’s packed, coffee’s brewing and i’m hoping you all have a special week.
expect a lot of pics and hopefully some vids as i’ll be with some of the best fly casters in the World. see ya soon !

if it weren’t for a few rude fish splish-splashing about the pond disrupting the peace, it would have been the perfect morning.
in the parking lot there’s a van, not a car. there’s a van there because the van shows me these places and lets me snuggle up inside it, nice, warm and dry and wake up next to these beautiful places. ultimately, the van doesn’t really care where it is but as long as i’m happy, it puts up with all of my whims and takes me to the next lovely place to wake up and have coffee. anglers often talk of lines and rods, the latest clip-on zingers and cool caps to wear but in the end, the most important fishing accessory i could have is the van.

little voice inside my head: “don’t go so far, we’re just sleeping overnight and moving on in the morning.”
the other little voice: “it’s ok, don’t listen to him. keep on searching for ‘just the right place’. it’s important.”
voice one: “ffs ! it’s dark, we’re tired and you’re hungry. you could have stopped next to that dirt road in the woods 1 hour and 45 minutes ago. you’re waisting time and petrol !
voice two: shut up ! he’s under my control, we’re gonna find a nice place to wake up. we always do. besides, it’s important.
voice two always wins .
